Our Route
The route and itinerary is an incredibly important part of a tour.
We travel in an anti-clockwise loop around Kangaroo Island, giving us the perfect flow to explore the island’s top highlights with minimal backtracking. This means more time discovering the good stuff — from hidden beaches to epic coastal lookouts and wildlife encounters in their natural habitat.
By starting our loop on the eastern end and working our way west (where we spend the night), we beat the crowds into Flinders Chase National Park on day 2 and enjoy the island’s changing landscapes in the best possible order. Along the way, your guide brings the stories of the island to life, and there’s plenty of time to stop, explore, and soak it all in — the way travel should be.

Our anti-clockwise route has been carefully designed to make the most of your time on Kangaroo Island. By heading east first, we ease into the journey with wildlife-rich regions and stunning coastal views, before looping west to hit big-ticket sights like Seal Bay, Remarkable Rocks, and Admirals Arch — all at the best times of day and away from the busiest crowds.
One of the biggest advantages? Our accommodation is just minutes from Flinders Chase National Park where the Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch await, so we’re among the first in the gates each morning. That means uninterrupted time at the island’s most iconic natural landmarks — no crowds, no rush, just you and the wild beauty of KI.
This well-paced itinerary avoids unnecessary backtracking and includes plenty of time to stop, explore, and take in the scenery and wildlife, making it one of the most efficient and rewarding ways to experience the island.
