Accommodation Options
We stay on the western side of Kangaroo Island, giving us a head start to explore Flinders Chase National Park bright and early — before the crowds. Our accommodation is at Discovery Parks – Kangaroo Island, set in a peaceful bush setting and surrounded by native wildlife. It’s not uncommon to spot kangaroos grazing nearby or hear koalas in the trees as you drift off to sleep — it’s the ultimate island escape.
In the evening, we fire up a classic Aussie BBQ, where you can kick back with your fellow travellers, share stories from the day, and soak up the magic of Kangaroo Island.
Bell Tent Camping
Staying in one of our bell tents is all about embracing the natural beauty of Kangaroo Island while enjoying a comfortable, thoughtfully prepared space to rest and recharge. Nestled among native bushland at Discovery Parks, this setting offers a peaceful, authentic island experience where you can wake to birdsong, spot kangaroos at dusk, and fall asleep under a canopy of stars.
Shared Bell Tent (4-Share)
Our shared bell tents accommodate up to four guests, each with their own individual bed and linen provided. This is a comfortable and sociable option, best suited to travellers open to sharing with others.
Private Bell Tent – Limited Availability
Ideal for solo travellers or couples seeking a relaxed and private setting. Each bell tent is furnished with 2 beds, quality linen, and soft lighting, offering a calm and cosy space to rest.

Both bell tent options make use of the shared bathroom and kitchen facilities within Discovery Parks. These facilities are modern, clean, and well-maintained, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Private Bell Tents have a limited capacity. Your private bell tent will be confirmed within 24 hours of booking. You will have the option to enjoy a shared bell tent or cancel your booking at this time.
Campsite Motel Room - Limited Availability
Just 150 metres from our camp area, the motel rooms at Discovery Parks offer a peaceful and private retreat at the end of the day. After spending time with the group over dinner and taking in the evening atmosphere, you can wander off to your own space to enjoy a private ensuite and a quiet night’s rest.
Each room features a comfortable bed, reverse-cycle air conditioning, and all the essentials for a relaxed stay. It’s an ideal option for travellers who prefer a little extra privacy and the convenience of having everything in one self-contained space.
Set within the same natural surroundings as the rest of our accommodation, the motel rooms allow you to enjoy the wildlife and serenity of the area — with the added benefit of your own private facilities.
