Groovy Grape Barossa Day Out
Itinerary
Get ready for an epic adventure with Groovy Grape’s Barossa Day Out!
Join us for a fun and relaxed day exploring the best of the Barossa – wine, food, chocolate, craft beer and incredible views – all with a Groovy twist.
We start the day in the Adelaide Hills with a stop at the Big Rocking Horse in Gumeracha. Climb to the top for panoramic views or meet friendly kangaroos and wallabies in the wildlife area. Then experience the amazing acoustics of the Whispering Wall – speak at one end and hear it echo back from over 140 metres away.
Our first winery stop is Kies Family Wines, a charming, family-run cellar door offering a warm welcome and a tasting of handcrafted wines – from vibrant whites to their signature Monkey Nut Rosé. Then it’s on to Lambert Estate, a modern hilltop winery where you’ll enjoy bold reds, unique blends and a stunning setting overlooking the vines.
Lunch is a laid-back feast of wood-fired gourmet pizzas, followed by a visit to Melba’s Chocolate Factory in Woodside for handmade treats and nostalgic sweets.
Next, we stop at Mengler’s Hill Lookout – one of the best viewpoints in the Barossa. Take in sweeping views of the valley and snap a photo before we continue on.
Our final tasting is at Rhen Bier Brewhouse, a small-batch brewery offering handcrafted beers in a relaxed setting. Enjoy a paddle or settle in with a cold one.
We finish with free time in Tanunda, where you can wander the main street, browse boutique shops or grab a coffee before heading back to Adelaide.
It’s the Barossa done differently – full of flavour, fun and unforgettable moments.

Just got back from the 2 day Kangaroo Island tour with Jordan. Had a fantastic time , cramming in so much in 2 days. Amazing view, Koala bears, kangaroo right outside our lovely glamping tent, great food and lots of it, sea lions and breweries, the list goes on. Well organized, good transport and time keeping. Personally I would have preferred a bigger group as I like meeting people but actually the tour had a nice vibe with the 6 of us and I could relax and be driven round and led to see this amazing island.Posted on Frederick MilcentTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I went on a 2D tour to kangaroo island which was a good amount of time for it not to feel rushed! We got to see seals, koalas, kangaroos. Our guide, Jordan, was very knowledgeable and made sure everything was good for all the group. There’s not a thing he could have done better. I really recommend this tour!
