Itinerary
Leave Adelaide behind and get ready to experience the Barossa the Groovy way, with premium wine, great food, local knowledge and plenty of personality along the way.
We kick things off at the Big Rocking Horse in Gumeracha. Grab a coffee, snap the obligatory photo and, if you’re keen, head into the wildlife park for the chance to get up close and even pat a kangaroo. Not your standard start to a wine tour, but that’s kind of the point.
From there, we roll into wine country and head to Kies Family Wines, a family-owned Barossa producer with generations of history behind it. Settle in for a guided tasting of premium wines while learning more about the varieties, stories and people behind the cellar door.
Next up is Rehn Bier Brewery in Tanunda, where we give the wine glass a short break and switch to locally brewed craft beer. Enjoy a tasting before sitting down for lunch and choosing a delicious meal from the menu, with a wine, beer or soft drink included.
After lunch, the choice is yours. Stay for another wine tasting or head out to explore Tanunda Main Street, browse the local shops, grab a coffee or simply enjoy a wander through the heart of the Barossa.
Then it’s back to the wine at Château Tanunda. Take in the impressive historic estate before enjoying another guided premium wine tasting in one of the Barossa’s most recognisable settings.
From here, we head to Menglers Hill Lookout for sweeping views across the vineyards and valley below, before something sweet at Melba’s Chocolates Barossa, where you’ll enjoy a tasting of South Australian chocolates and locally made favourites.
We wrap things up at the iconic Seppeltsfield Estate, where the final stop is yours to shape. Add an optional Seppeltsfield wine tasting from approximately $15 to $35, switch things up with an optional Prohibition Gin tasting for around $24, or simply explore the historic grounds, Vasse Virgin, JamFactory and local makers.
Then it’s back aboard with your Groovy guide, the playlist turned up and your fellow travellers for the ride back to Adelaide.
